We share the vision to create and support a vibrant and economically thriving community by investing in affordable housing options and programming that provide anyone an opportunity to live and stay in Chaffee County.

 

As local business and nonprofit owners and operators, we recognize that the availability of affordable housing is essential to maintaining a stable and sustainable workforce. Many of our employees struggle to find housing that meets their needs within our community, which directly impacts our ability to recruit and retain talent. Without affordable housing options, we risk losing the very people who keep our businesses running and contribute to the vitality of Chaffee County.

 

The proposed measures will enable the Chaffee County Housing Authority to expand and enhance its efforts to address the growing housing crisis. By supporting these measures, we are investing not only in housing but also in the future of our local economy and community. Affordable housing is the foundation of a thriving society, and these measures are a necessary step toward ensuring that everyone who works in Chaffee County can afford to live here as well.
